Our story
From flooring to the whole build
Local Tasker started by doing one thing properly: supplying and installing flooring across Melbourne at prices that didn't include a retail markup. Four showrooms, a warehouse, and thousands of square metres a month later, customers kept asking the same question — can you just do the rest of it too?
Local Tasker Construction is the answer to that. Same ownership, same buying power, same aversion to paying someone else's margin — extended from flooring into full building materials supply, renovations, new builds and commercial work.
The advantage is structural rather than clever. Because the group already imports and warehouses materials in volume, a renovation or a build quoted by us starts from trade cost on the biggest line items. Every other builder has to buy those same materials from someone like us first.

You can use us for any one of these on its own, or run the whole project through a single contract with a single point of contact.
- Building Materials Supply — Direct-from-factory pricing on everything that goes into a build — vanities, tapware, cabinetry, stone, tiles, doors and windows.
- Renovations — Kitchens, bathrooms, extensions, painting, plastering, doors and windows — designed, permitted and built by one team.
- New Builds — Units, townhouses, standalone homes and luxury duplexes, from land and design through to handover.
- Commercial Construction — Fit-outs and refurbishments for operating businesses — office, retail, amenities and sports-centre change rooms.
