A bathroom designed for ageing in place: step-free shower, fold-down seat, grab rails, a wall-hung vanity and large-format tiles — without looking clinical.
The project
Accessibility done so it reads as good design first. The floor is set down so the shower is level with the rest of the room, grab rails and a fold-down seat are placed where they're needed, and the vanity is wall-hung for knee clearance. Warm timber and soft grey tiles keep it feeling like a home, not a hospital.
Before & after
Start to finish
The parts of a job that decide how it lasts — demolition, framing, services and waterproofing — are the parts you never see once it's finished. Here they are.
Stage 1 of 3
The existing room or site, before any work begins.
Stage 2 of 3
Strip-out, structure and services, then fit-out — the stages most clients never see.
Stage 3 of 3
The finished result at handover.
