A dark galley-style kitchen turned into a bright family space with new skylights, a generous oak island and white joinery opening to the garden.
The project
The old kitchen works, but it's dark and the bench space runs out the moment two people are cooking. New skylights over the island change the room entirely. The island is sized for homework and prep at the same time, and the tall joinery wall takes the fridge, ovens and a walk-in-style pantry so the benches stay clear.
